1. Members present: Jonathan Kraut, Bill Bailey, Michael Cruz, Carole Lutness, Minerva Williams, Todd Hoover, Bruce McFarland & Kris Daams. Mike was appointed Vice President; Minerva is our Corresponding Secretary. Todd is our Webmaster. Information is now getting out. We are getting more press.

2. No Old business.

3. Marianne will put together a membership roster and will get the minutes to the officers in 7 days.

4. Kris recapped the DPSFV delegate report. Diane Trautman's fundraiser had 30-45 people attend. Lots of bipartisan support.

5. There is no one running against College Of the Canyons' incumbents.

6. Casino Night will be on October 13th... We will be set up to play Black Jack and Texas Hold 'Em. We will have prizes. Bill and Angela are still working on that. We will not have room for dancing. Minerva is working on the tickets and flyers and Todd will post these on the web page.

7. Resolution on Ethics: Bruce spoke and gave handouts on the need for our City to adopt a code of ethics - a code of conduct. We voted unanimously to have Mike and Jonathan draft a proposal for a code of ethics and vote on it on Tuesday by email.

8. A discussion on Minorities in the SCV …Filipino, Latino, Korean etc. Ask them to talk to us. What do they need from us? How can we support them? What issues can we help them with? Explain how having friends in politics can be of help to their community. Each of us is to gather ideas on how to reach these groups in the SCV and discuss at the next meeting.

9. DN 38th - Dodgers game on Sunday, September 16th. A bus will leave from the valley.

10. Our next meeting is on September 20th at El Trocadero's Mesquite Steak House? The location and map details will be posted on the web site.

11. DAA will meet at 11:00 AM on Friday with Jonathon at City Hall for a press conference to represent us.
